Tamsen Hays

Tamsen Hays has called Southwest Florida home since 1986. A graduate of North Fort Myers High School, Ms. Hays earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida in 2004 and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2007.

After law school, Ms. Hays joined a law firm in Charlotte County, where she practiced bankruptcy and civil litigation. She later worked for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee in the Middle District of Florida, Fort Myers Division. In that role, she represented debtors, creditors, and the Trustee in bankruptcy cases, gaining experience from multiple perspectives within the bankruptcy process.

In addition to bankruptcy, Ms. Hays has also handled matters involving community association law, construction litigation, collections, and real property litigation, including suits to quiet title, reformation of deeds, landlord/tenant matters, and foreclosures.

Ms. Hays is a member of The Florida Bar, the Charlotte County Bar Association, and the Southwest Florida Bankruptcy Professionals Association. She was a member of the Leadership Charlotte Class of 2020. She served as a director, Secretary, and Vice President of The Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County Florida, Inc., where she represented the organization pro bono for three years, advocating for homeless animals.

In 2026, Ms. Hays joined The Dellutri Law Group to focus her practice on the area of law she enjoys most—helping people protect themselves and their assets from creditors, navigate the bankruptcy process, and work toward a fresh financial start.

Ms. Hays is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as the bankruptcy courts in those districts.

Tamsen resides in Cape Coral with her husband. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and volunteering her time for charitable causes including animal welfare.
